My client is a large multidisciplinary consultancy, currently looking for a senior civil/Highways CAD technician to be based in the Guildford Office.

The position will be working within a team which provides support to highways, bridges, geotechnics and environmental solutions departments.

Candidates applying for this position will need to hold ideally a HNC in Civil Engineering, but must have suitable previous experience of draughting/CAD design in a civil engineering (Highways, bridges, drainage/infrastructure) field. You should be fully fluent in Moss MX/Microdrainage/AutoCAD Civil 3D, and have sufficient experience and technical knowledge to lead a team – including training/mentoring or junior technicians. My client is a privately owned Consulting Engineers based on the outskirts of Milton Keynes, currently looking for a Structural Engineering to join the team. The office has been established for over 30 years, and has developed a long standing client base, including national superstore chains.

The role will be very customer facing, and will involve managing your own projects with as little supervision as possible. Projects are varied, and will likely include residential, commercial, Educational, retail, sport, and conversion/renovation.

Candidates wishing to apply for this role should hold a minimum of HNC in civil Engineering with sufficient post qualification UK experience to confidently manage your own projects, and deal with clients/external contacts. My client is a leading multidisciplinary consultancy operating worldwide, currently looking for a Senior Materials Engineer to join their team in Romania, working on a large highways and bridges project.

As Senior Materials Engineer, your role will include establishing all required materials sampling and testing procedures; ensuring that qualities, dimensions and properties of all materials comply with the requirements of the contract; approving design mixes; Identify sources of materials; ensuring that contractors carry out tests as per described procedures; guide and monitor of the laboratory staff site activities; and ensuring that all site testing and sampling is correctly implemented and that all results are properly recorded and analysed.

Candidates applying for this role will need to hold a bachelors degree in an appropriate technical field, with membership of a relevant professional institution. You should have good knowledge of the provisions of law 10/95 and subsequent Romanian legislation, and of FIDIC conditions of contract. You should also have a valid site inspector certificate, and be fluent in English.

Experience should include highway and bridge engineering, quality assurance, international standards of quality control and quality management, and experience in re-measurement contracts.
