A multi-disciplinary Engineering and Construction Contractor operating throughout the UK is looking for a Rail Site Agent to work in the Greater Manchester area.
The Role
The key tasks of this role include:
• Ensure that all minor works are accurately priced and that the subsequent works are properly resourced.
• Ensuring that relevant site teams are effectively deployed and managed.
• Development of relationships with parties involved in the contract.
• Ensure that works orders are delivered on time, within budget and to the agreed quality whilst ensuring that company profits are maximised.
• Ensuring that client expectations, regarding quality, budget and programme are exceeded, where possible.
Key Responsibilities
Ensuring that works are executed in accordance of:
• All applicable legislation.
• Terms and conditions of the contract.
• The contract health and safety.
• The contract quality, environmental.
• The policies and procedures within the company business management system.
• Delivery of works within programme and budget.
• The promotion of continuous improvement and best practice.
• Continuous monitoring of work orders to ensure that programme objectives are being met.
• Ensuring that changes to programme are identified, agreed upon and effectively managed.
• Provision of formal reports to the construction manager.
• Ensuring that any issues that cannot be resolved, at site level are passed onto the construction manager.

Contracts Manager required to work out of Cheshire office for a well respected civil engineering contractor with a history in water and utilities.
The Role
Based from the Northern Headquarters you will be responsible for up to 5 Sites, in the North West area in the range of £1m to £15m. Schemes are varied and include general civil engineering works, water, infrastructures, Formworks, rebar, and concrete.
The Candidate
You should have experience of managing multiple and concurrent Civil Engineering projects (water, infrastructure, FRC).
You should have a proven track record in civils and hold a relevant qualification (i.e. HNC Civil Engineering, Degree level preferred)
You should be strong at reporting, be an excellent communicator and have the drive and ambition to succeed in a competitive market place.

Senior QS is required to join one of the world’s most prestigious civil engineering contractors for a landmark scheme about to begin in Scotland’s capital city of Edinburgh.
The scheme itself is going to split into 4 (potentially 5) different packages of work. The 3 packages that require this resource are each in the region of £30,000,000. Each package of work will have its own Package Manager, Senior QS and Junior QS.
Duties
Working alongside the Package Manager and reporting to the Scheme Commercial Manager you will be responsible for one member of company staff plus a number of reports from potentially 4 different specialist sub-contractors.
You will be required to effectively manage the full commercial life cycle of your Package of Works taking into account any specialist procurement, variations to the work, general management of sub contractors and so on.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have experience of quantity surveying in a senior capacity on schemes in the region of, or indeed above, £30,000,000. These schemes would ideally incorporate heavy civils in the public realm. Being a member of RICS would be an advantage as would hold a relevant degree qualification.

Duties
