This is a challenging opportunity with a leading renewable energy company that specialise in cost-effective, advanced and environmentally sound offshore wave technology.
Based at the company premises in Warwickshire, as Project Manager you will have a demonstrated history of project management with focus on successful delivery as well as risk and performance management. You will have a track record of outstanding technical accomplishments and experience in the development of systems is preferred.
A background in heavy mechanical equipment and operations such as hydraulics, welding and steel structure fabrication would be ideal and some marine/offshore experience would be advantageous.
Responsibilities:
- Overall management of project to include budgetary control, staffing, subcontractor management etc
- Liaison with customer, including periodic presentations
- Supervision and coaching of personnel and staff
- Preparation of project budgets
- Reporting of progress of project, including performance against budget and schedule

Purpose
To carry out testing within the company's Therapeutics group, using techniques including gel electrophoresis, HPLC and enzyme assays
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform routine chemical analysis of Therapeutics products in QC, in accordance to SOPs at all times
• Provide support activities for the above testing, including reagent preparation, reagent disposal, sample logging and one off testing requested from other genzyme sites.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of documentation associated with testing
• Maintain personal training records
• Ensure that the Therapeutic laboratory and equipment within is maintained to a standard that is safe and compliant with cGMP.
• Maintain the lab in a safe and tidy manner at all times
• To ensure the reagents used within the laboratory are updated and within the recommended expiry dates.
• To produce and update working procedures and reports where appropriate.
• To assist with troubleshooting of problem therapeutic tests
• To assist in the execution of method/ equipment validation when required.
To be considered for this varied opportunity you will need to hold a BSc. Degree in Biochemistry or related subject and will have gained industrial laboratory experience in working to GMP and analytical chemistry (Including HPLC). Based in Warwickshire the company's system extracts the natural energy in ocean waves which is based on the integration of paternal technologies in hydronamics, electronics, energy conversion and computer control systems.
Currently they are looking to recruit an experienced Hydrodynamicist to assist in the development, design and optimisation of Wave Energy Converter (WEC) products and systems. Conducting analysis of floating structures and associated mooring systems by modelling both the wave environment and interaction of Power Take-Off Loads will also be another key feature of the opportunity.
Your main daily responsibilities will include:
·Conducting analysis of floating structures and associated mooring systems by modelling both the wave environment and interaction of Power Take-Off Loads.
·Theoretical modelling of wave and current interaction with numerical models of WECs.
·Analysis and application of environmental data (mainly wave plus current and wind)
·Experience of ADCP deployment and data analysis would be advantageous.
·Assist in defining (model design, instrumentation, and data acquisition) and reviewing the results from tank testing.
·Supplier and contractor liaison.
To be considered for this opportunity you will need to be qualified to degree level in Mechanical/Marine/Naval Engineering or equivalent with an emphasis in hydrodynamics, with ideally relevant experience and professional membership.
