Senior Account Manager – Account Director
Company Overview
Our client is a Private Limited Company that supply systems management software to the financial arena, targeting in particular the investment banking sector. Their software enables users to identify problems with their systems, and notifies them of issues in real time allowing companies to reduce the ‘down time' of their systems. They will also make bespoke software to suit a client's needs, and offer continuous customer care following the implementation. They currently have 90% of the world's top 50 banks using their systems management software, including 8 of the top ten. Financially last years growth was recorded at 50% and the financial growth for 2006/07 is forecast at a further 40-50%.
Candidate Overview
We are looking for someone with a proven track record in selling into the Investment Banking sector, with a two-year minimum stay in each role. Knowledge of systems management software is not essential, but would be a bonus. You must be methodical, focused, educated and articulate but the most important thing is that you have the ability to close.
Candidates who have sold other software may be considered if they have a very strong background in selling to the investment banking sector, but by far the preference is that you have sold system management software.
The sales Account Manager role will be based from the City, and you will be covering the city area with occasional business in Europe, and selling into the main accounts that the company has won contracts with. You will be expected in the office every day, so commuting distance is important, however it is dependant on how far you are willing to travel. As long as you are happy with the commute, they don't mind where you live! You will be selling the systems management software into the investment banking arena, and will have a turnover target of about £1.1 million. Order values range anywhere from £50,000 upwards, and they have recently closed a $3.9 million deal. The sales cycle on this can range from 3 – 6 months. The role is split 20% new business with 80% of the role generating business from within existing accounts.
Package
Dependent on Experience
£60,000 Basic Salary, £150,000 OTE, Pension which is 5% of salary non contributary, Health and Life insurance after completion of the probationary period.
Of Note:
Two of their sales staff will earn in excess of £350,000 this year. The other 3 will all earn above-target incomes. |

Our client works in document conversion and integration markets for primarily blue chip, national and international companies.
A position has become available for a Software Developer to work within an existing team They require a software developer capable of general development activities and familiar with the .NET Microsoft development environment and also VB6.
Being familiar with data modelling, object modelling and design would be an advantage. Candidates with SQLserver experience will be favoured, as will those with a proven track record. No special domain knowledge of the clients businesses is required, as this will be provided in-house.
The company is involved in document conversion and asset tracking. Software developers can be expected to be involved heavily in the asset tracking side.
The company produce web based and traditional application solutions for internal and client use. The work is very varied as we have a range of clients in different industries and the person can be expected to work on “quick hit” code through to extending the development of and use of our in-house multi-tier architecture.
Based in Peterborough, there is the occasional opportunity to visit client sites, which may involve international travel. It is unlikely that the visits will be for longer than a week and no more than once or twice a year (currently there have been no visits within the last year but this is unusual). The candidate must be able to drive.
The anticipated candidate will be offered up to £30k pa, the standard workday is 9am to 5pm and there are 20 days plus statutory holidays. There are no other significant benefits within the company.
