The Opportunity As an External Audio Visual Sales Consultant you will sell to new and existing clients across the South of England (primarily London), working in a consultative way to provide total AV solutions- this can range from entire new boardroom systems, training rooms, auditoria, video conferencing suites and meeting systems, incorporating projectors, interactive whiteboards/touchscreens, voting systems, digital signage systems, LCD & plasma displays. You will focus on the corporate sector, but will be free to pursue opportunities in a number of verticals. With a strong client base already in existence, this is an excellent opportunity to maximise current sales opportunities and further develop the business, bringing in new customers as well as account managing the existing. This will require you to research and identify new opportunities in your territory, including the use of networking and marketing channels. To succeed in this role you will need to ensure a consistently exceptional level of customer care for all customers and develop a strategy to ensure customer loyalty and increase the likelihood of repeat business, including canvassing of customer feedback. You will also deliver high quality on-site training and demonstrations of Audio Visual equipment. As the company continues to follow its business plan of sustainable growth there will be opportunities for career advancement into managerial roles or key account management. The successful candidate will be expected to make a significant contribution to the company beyond just their sales figures, including the growth and direction of the company in terms of its services and culture. In the short term, there are excellent opportunities to earn high levels of commission. You will be based from the company's Hertfordshire office but will be selling in the field for the vast majority of your time.
Salary: £30-35K & £50K+ Uncapped OTE, Car Allowance, Laptop & Mobile
Your Skills, Qualities and Achievements You will be a proven business to business/government sales professional, with excellent selling skills to senior manager level in the corporate sector. Must have experience of selling AV solutions, and ideally Video Conferencing solutions, into high value corporate organisations, or very high-end education, public or private sector organisations. Knowledge of the latest AV solutions, such as interactive touch-screen technology, digital signage, voting systems, audio systems, video conferencing, displays and projectors would be an advantage. Knowledge of AV applications in a business environment (including video conferencing, digital signage, interactive displays or similar) would be an advantage. Must be an accomplished business developer and account manager, with a track record of success in the AV industry (or closely related such as VC or Unified Comms), preferably with an existing client base. You will need excellent communication, presentation and end-user training skills. Must be ambitious with a desire to succeed in an account management role and progress your career with a dynamic organisation.
