Main Tasks of the Role Holder:
1. To lead, steer and control an operational Product Stream from “Front to Back”, including -
• Commercial “back office” activities.
• The complete Supply Chain for both manufactured and purchased Product Stream items.
• Raw materials stockholding, and component procurement.
• Production capacity planning and control
• Regular line-balancing
• Ensure that shop floor and office daily disciplines are fully maintained.
2. Drive and motivate continual performance improvement through effective appraisal and leadership, including productivity, quality, delivery performance and customer service.
3. Undertake regular communications with team members on a formal and informal basis ensuring they are equipped with up to date information on Company performance, department issues and provide an opportunity for employees to raise issues, concerns and feedback.

5. Develop a highly competitive cost base by continually improving all processes to minimise operational costs and gain competitive advantage.
6. Reduce waste in all forms including reject goods, overproduction, delays (the 7 wastes).
7. Reduce rejects and customer returns using problem-solving tools and the 8D process to prevent reoccurrence.
8. Maintain and improve Company quality standards in conjunction with quality assurance/process improvement
9. Achieve business winning lead times and an excellent, flexible, reliable and responsive level of service to Product Stream customers.
10. Ensure delivery reliability is in excess of 95% and in full.
11. Ensure that Product Stream quotation performance is in excess of agreed target/objective.
12. Develop and implement the Product Stream strategic plan to ensure our improvement goals are met in the short, medium and long term.
13. Work closely with Sales and Marketing colleagues to grow the Product Stream.
