R&D Operator for Dairy Drinks and Desserts

Key Result Areas
1. Recipe and Packaging Development
* Pro-actively develop recipes, packaging and products to agreed briefs , leveraging supplier resources and expertise

2. Activity Management

6. Research
* Take full responsibility for preparing samples of products for consumer research and ensure these are with research agency /customer in correct quantity and on time.
* Conduct local consumer research in town centres/universities/local companies. Record and report results. Use output as product development tool.

7. Kitchen Management
* Maintain a store of raw materials for product development in area of responsibility. Ensure materials are always available, in-date and stored correctly.

8. Finance

Develop and maintain machining and assembly work standards including the use of MODAPTS. Generate and maintain HPU roadmaps throughout the program. Carry out ergonomic assessments for all direct labour operations and generate/maintain the ergonomic evidence book for each program. Support and drive simulation modelling and experimentation for all components. Update and maintain industrial engineering input for Integrator. Optimise all work stations at both Virtual and Make Like Production stages. Verify work standards (using MODAPTS) prior to PSW and final verification during PTR's and ramp up. Support machine capabilities on both machining and assembly. Support PTR runs and log checks on both machining and assembly. Develop and maintain HPU roadmaps. Support High Hurts Process. Support witness visits when necessary. Work with the simulation team when necessary. Embrace introduction of GSPAS. Additional duties and travel as required.

Experience Required:
Applicants should ideally hold an engineering degree. The successful candidate must have experience in a manufacturing or related activity and will possess the following skills: A high level of motivation, initiative and creativity. Ability to work with a diverse team of Engineers in both Manufacturing Engineering and the Customer Plant. A flexible approach to cope with frequent change. Ability to prioritise tasks & manage a demanding workload. Computer literacy is essential, preferred packages to include Word, Excel & Microsoft Project.
