The Role: The successful Contracts Manager will be responsible for maintaining, renegotiating and winning new service contracts. These are existing long term agreements to maintain large standby power equipment - CHP plant, gas powered engines and generators worth millions of pounds and so a good understanding of Contract Law is required. This equipment is heavy electrical equipment and so a good electrical engineering background is key to success as a Contracts Manager. Also vital, is a thorough understanding of the sales process, along with previous sales experience with the likes of Cogenco, Clarke Energy or similar.
The Person: The Contracts Manager will have: 1. Electrical Engineering experience ideally with CHP plant, gas engines, gas powered generators, energy from waste or similar; 2. Previous experience within target markets - construction contractors, electrical contractors, M+E consultants, managed services consultancy etc; 3. a good understanding of Contract Law and you will need to manage and negotiate Service and Maintenance contracts valued in the millions.
4. Technical sales experience - ideally parts, new equipment and long term maintenance contracts.

The Person: The Service Business Manager will have: 1. Previous experience in a Service Management or similar environment 2. Electrical Engineering experience ideally with Diesel Generators, CHP plant, UPS systems, Switchgear or similar. 3. The consultant engineer’s overall goal is to improve and increase effectiveness of maintenance departments within organisations. The autonomous role will involve travelling to various blue chip client sites across the UK and consulting and assisting businesses on maintenance.
