The Role
The Sales Engineer will be responsible for sales of the company's fire detection and protection systems following the project through from design stage through to the commencement of installation. Looking after a South Eastern territory the Sales Engineer will be expected to achieve targets around the £600k mark. This role will see the Sales Engineer managing some key accounts as well as developing new business. With the support of the Applications and Estimating teams the Sales Engineer will be responsible for presenting fire alarm systems and solutions to the clients at design and board level.
The Person
The Sales Engineer will be a proactive sales person who can maintain relationship over a long period time. With excellent fire detection or protection industry knowledge the candidate must have technical capabilities and be confident presenting at board level. To cope with the nature of the role the Sales Engineer must be mechanically or electronic/electrically qualified or have Fire Systems experience. The Sales Engineer will be a hungry person who is eager to join a confident, forward looking business who is challenging the boundaries of the fire industry.

Role Description
My client is a leading manufacture who supply to a vast range of SMEs and blue chip companies involved in the chemical industry. They manufacture bespoke steel and fabrications solutions tailored to clients needs, the products are highly specialized and have to be manufactured to the strictest of health and safety and quality standards. The candidate's role starts when they have took the specifications from the client and investigated the feasibility of the solution, they will then have to create detailed designs using Auto Cad 2 , they will also have to liaise with production, project managers and sales till the product is launched. As the candidate gets more familiar with the product they will then get involved in the calculations including pressure calculations. The company is prepared to help train on the calculation side of the business and this role could progress into more of a project type position longer term.
Required Experience
The successful candidate must be fully competent in Auto Cad 2D and ideally have extensive hands on experience from a fabrication or metal based background. Any 3D experience will be an advantage as the company is starting to tailor situations in Inventor for customers. The role
My client is a leading M & E maintenance consultancy and designer and manufacturer if bespoke kit, mainly to the water industry but also food, automotive companies and pharma companies etc. After securing several new contracts throughout the North of England, my client needs BOTH mechanical service engineers AND electrical service engineers to join their friendly team. The post holder's role will be a mix between working on various clients sites around the North of England and occasionally further afield. Depending on your skill base, the primary role will be pipe assembling and pipe fitting, wiring, trucking, testing circuits, wiring panels, wiring up instruemts to panels etc either at the clients sites building the solutions by linking up all the pipes to filters, valves, pumps, instruments and water treatment systems. The post holder will also be involved in the installation and will be expected to test the product and repair any problems.
Required Experience
We are actively looking to recuit BOTH electrically biased engineers AND mechanically biased engineers. The successful candidate must have good mechanical fitting skills AND/OR be a qualified electrician ideally from some form of pipe, water or process background. However applications are welcomed from other backgrounds such as maintenance, workshop, building services, forces and domestic/commercial building services as excellent training is provided.
