Network support engineer / analyst required for our client based in London
The role will involve responding to and solving problems raised through the IT Helpdesk, and ensuring that excellent levels of service and advice are provided to users at all times, you will be part of a team of 3 supporting 350 internal users onsite and remotely. Responsibilities will include supporting and maintaining the server and network systems to achieve maximum system availability, helping develop best practice for desktop technology, maintaining IT equipment and other projects as required.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills at all levels and be able to explain process in a non technical way.
You will need skills and experience in Microsoft products, including Windows XP, Windows 2000 Pro. Working knowledge of Windows 2002/2003 Server and Active Directory, Windows Group Policies, TCP/IP and Microsoft Exchange 2000/2003 and experience using backup products such as Veritas are also required.
