We are currently seeking a Canteen Assistant to be based at our Taw Valley, Devon site on a 6 month fixed term contract working Saturday and Sunday from 6.00 am 2pm. Our Creamery at North Tawton uses state-of the-art processing equipment to produce award-winning cheeses, butter and dairy ingredients. Our site canteen serves breakfast and lunch seven days a week with the exception of bank holidays. This role requires someone who is keen, reliable and able to work on their own initiative over weekends. You will also be flexible as there will be a requirement to provide cover during colleagues absences. You will prepare and serve breakfast and ensure the kitchen is clean and tidy at all times. You will be responsible for replenishment of the on-site vending machines, canteen cleaning and monitoring temperatures of food prepared and food storage facilities. The successful candidate will have worked within a similar role and will have a good understanding of food hygiene principles and practice. You will be self-motivated with strong communication and customer facing skills.
