Our Client is a Major UK Construction Group. They are looking to recruit an experienced Building Services Manager with experience of Data Centre Project work. You could be either M or E Biased but must have agood experience of managing both. This Role covers work in the Home Counties North of London- i.e. Herts/Beds/Bucks/Essex/Middlesex/Greater London North of the River. A home location such as Watford for example would be ideal as you would be in fairly easy reach of the majority of their work.
As Building services Manager you will be responsible for managing the M&E installation programme on major sites, keeping the sub-contractors on line, liaising with the client and controlling the budget. Value of the M&E Component will range typically to £20M. Project types in addition to Data Centres include Retail / Commercial / Entertainment / Sporting / Residential / Government.
On site you will be responsible to the Construction Director, your direct line manager will be the Company M&E Director.
You will be ultimately responsible for controlling the M&E Contractors working on your Project.
This is a fairly autonomous role- you will be given a large amount of leeway to control your own remit. Our client favours self-starters who can think for themselves.
You will need to have 10 plus years experience of M&E Engineering, of which 5 plus should be at Project Manager or equivalent level. You must have experience of managing M&E Contracts of at least £5M in value and preferably more. You MUST have experience of working directly for a main contractor / Construction group- we regret our client will not consider people who have spent their career purely with sub-contractors.
This is an excellent role, with superb prospects. Our client is exceptionally well-respected, has a very low turnover of staff, is busy, profitable and has grown via aquisition and expansion. Staff loyalty is very high and you should view this as a very long-term career move. Salary is expected to increase as you settle into the role and performers are rewarded well.
You should have recognised engineering qualifications, typically an HNC, HND or Degree. This is a genuinelly rare, interesting and career-minded Project Manager Position with a large, stable, respected company.

They are looking for an experienced TSM to oversee M&E Building Services. They would ideally like someone from a Mechanical Background, however Electrical Bias but with good all-round Mech knowledge will be considered.

Our client, a well established construction company, has an immediate vacancy for a Building Services Manager / M&E Project Manager. You will have a strong technical background in mechanical or electrical engineering and previous experience working for a main contractor. You will be the senior m and e person on one or more large projects. You will also be required to manage the performance of various sub-subcontractors to ensure adherence to building standards, design briefs and value engineering.
