Our client is looking for a trainee to join their busy team in the Foundry.
You will be trained to operate and control a BAT furnace using a touch screen computer control system. Duties would also involve some hands-on foundry work in a hot and dusty environment. You will be responsible for monitoring, analysing and maximising the efficiencies and output of the furnace. Other duties which you will be trained on and expected to perform will include quality control, preparing scrap for the furnace, loading and pouring from the furnace and general housekeeping duties within the control room and around the furnace area.
You will need a good knowledge of IT systems and ideally be qualified to a minimum of A level standard or equivalent. A fork lift truck license would be an advantage but is not essential.

Will take a turner or a Miller or someone who can do both would be an advantage.
