This leading South East practice are seeking to develop their Personal Injury further with the addition of another fee earner. Ideally you will be a Legal Executive with claimant experience. You will be providing a high quality legal service to all clients on all aspects of personal injury claims with regard to: taking statements and instructions from clients, entering into correspondence and negotiation with insurers, carrying out preliminary investigations into liability and quantum, including research, advising as to offers of settlement made, under supervision, drafting schedules of special damages.
You will be running your own caseload of personal injury matters, ensuring: appropriate risk management is carried out at the outset, client expectations are properly set on costs, timescales and possible outcomes, attendances and other actions are fully documented on the file, the CPR rules are adhered to and that conditional fee or other funding arrangements are in place, disbursements tracked and fees billed promptly on completion of a matter. In addition you will provide assistance to solicitors within the PI team with their caseloads, to include preparing interlocutory applications and if appropriate, attending the same together with preparing more complex schedules of special damages, adhere to the Law Society's client care directive and to the firms' own policies as set out in the office manual, maintain good file management as set out in the office manual and establish and maintain links with clients of the team
