Our client currently has a position for a Buyer to work on their contract based in Kew.
Duties within this role will include working with internal customers and clients to obtain services from suppliers at the lowest cost consistent with considerations of quality, service and company policy and procedures, under the guidance of the National Category Manager. To assist the National Category Manager in the progression of projects supporting the strategic objectives of the Procurement Department. To manage the administrative function for procurement within the Business Unit.
Principle Accountabilities:
• Participate in cross-functional project teams.
• Proactively negotiate, manage and build appropriate relationships with key approved suppliers. Identify, select and develop new suppliers to meet future business needs.
• Manage internal customer relationships.
• Implement and project manage proactive cost reduction and supplier improvement programmes within the team.
• Manage the administrative function of the Procurement Department.
• Provide a flexible responsive customer service for Client specific requests/needs.
• To support the operational teams with the implementation of new contracts, to ensure the provision of a first class service to the Client.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Experience of dealing with services/subcontractors essential
• Ability to follow Procurement Processes

• Good IT skills including Word and Excel
