Job description
The successful candidate will take day to day responsibility for the role of CDM Co-ordinator on projects and report directly to the health & safety department team leader.

The successful candidate's duties will include:
• Assistance in preparing fee quotations and tender bids for potential CDM Co-ordinator appointments
• Guidance and advice internally to other divisions on CDM Regulations 2007
• Ensuring the internal requirements under the Quality, Environmental and Safety Management System are met on each project
• Guidance and advice to Clients in order to allow them to comply with their statutory duties under CDM 2007
• Liaison with the relevant duty holders to facilitate the co-ordination of design work, planning and preparation of construction throughout the project with respect to health & safety matters
• Management of the flow of information within project teams including Client, designers and contractors

About the Role
This position is for an experienced individual with an ability to manage the delivery of a range of projects of varying size and complexity through all stages from inception to completion with minimum supervision. The post holder must be self-motivated and able to progress several projects concurrently. He/she must be equally comfortable working independently or within a multi-disciplinary team, and must be prepared to assume the lead role as overall Project Manager within multi-disciplined arrangements when directed.

Generally projects and works commissions ranging in value up to £5 million will be undertaken. As well as works projects the scope also includes the production of technical inspections, assessments, feasibility studies and costing reports; all of which must be presented to a high standard and in a professional style.

Building good and strong client relationships through delivery of service excellence without supervision is of primary importance. This applies to both self-performed activities and through the management of others when acting as PM or in support of such.

About You
You will have a degree, requisite to membership of a recognised professional institution is required.
Professional membership of an appropriate building or services related institution and relevant post membership experience;
