Job Description - Reporting to the Resources Manager and working as part of a small team based in Chichester West Sussex, you will be responsible for maintaining the company's GIS (Geographical Information Systems) and providing support for dredging licence management and development.
Support function includes:
- applying to the government and applying for permission to dredge shores
- Archiving reports
- Mapping
- Compliance
- Attending meetings with consultants (specialist scientists)
- Includes trips offshore onboard ships for dredging
Person Spec -
- Good IT Skills
- Have experience with GIS
- Degree/Masters in Marine Science - oceanographic, marine earth science, marine resouce management, marine geographical information systems (GIS) background
Previous work experience desirable but not essential
Hours - Mon to Fri 8.45am - 5.15pm - but will require someone to be flexible

The candidate would be responsible for the logistics of a fleet of 15 plus 6 / 8 wheel and artic tippers, this fleet is expected to grow vastly within the next couple of years. The vehicles will be delivering sand, aggregate and topsoil within South Wales and the South West also, collections of demolition hardcore and waste soils. We have other contracts in place between Manchester, Liverpool and London, and various other ad hoc work in these areas that we as a business are expected to react to at short notice. The candidate would need to have a think on your feet attitude and at the same time be calm and thorough (attention to detail is essential). Experience in sales is not essential but would be a bonus, although he/she would need to be able to understand the basic principles. Basic computer skill will be needed, driver licence needed and the ability to work as part of a team.

Responsible for general maintenance of the wash plant and solving any problems that may occur. The plant will be processing inert soils along with contaminated soils and sludge's, experience is not essential for the contaminated soils and sludge's but must have the will to learn and adapt.
