Knowledge
Engineering design background, E&I or mechanical* bias but with strong multi-disciplinary knowledge (*preferred but not essential)
Recent AutoCAD experience.
Experience of process engineering.
Experience of proposal development and costing - minimum of 5 years
Experience of partner / vendor / supply chain liaison
Experience in water / wastewater treatment processes, preferably in an industrial environment
Experience of formal costing / estimating management systems
The Project Development Engineer will play a key role in supporting the UK proposals and FED team in developing robust designs and formal proposals for submission to existing and prospective Clients, both in-house and externally to secure a pipeline of future activity for the E&P UK and Site Services Teams.
Working closely with the Business Development Team throughout the UK, the Project Development Engineer will assume a varied role including acting as a front-end mechanical or piping draughtsman/designer, developing links and liaising with our supply chain to obtain appropriate technical and commercial information, participating in the production of formal proposals and also project management for equipment installation projects.

Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer who will be a member of their Engineering and Projects team. The engineering team supports the development of proposals and are involved in feasibility, outline design and detailed design.
The Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer will assist in the technical development of the team as well as providing the electrical and instrumentation engineering input into key projects.
The key deliverables include the responsibility for the assessment, design, verification and validation of electrical and instrumentation requirements for a range of projects on a complex operational site and the provision of specialist electrical advice to sub-contractors and Client discipline engineers. The role will act as the E&I competent person for the company. Health and Safety is a key driver and the role must deliver to complex safety standards and procedures. Good supervisory, communication and interpersonal skills combined with excellent client communication skills are required to enable projects to complete on time, within budget and to the correct specifications.
The candidate must have the following experience to be considered:
Extensive system design experience
Extensive electrical & instrumentation experience, including:
Process instrumentation and measurement techniques
Hazardous area requirements and ATEX certification
Electrical and instrumentation circuit design
SIL ratings and safety circuits
DCS and ESD hardware wiring and configuration
This is a key role and will involve significant exposure at senior levels within client organisations.
