Desktop Support Technician
Our client is currently seeking a hands on Desktop Support Technician to join their professional team, based in Egham.
This is a key position, working within the IS team reporting to the IS Director and responsible for all internal 1st/ 2nd line desktop.
This is an extremely exciting role within a busy IS team, with in house development and management of the IT systems, including MS dynamics CRM, OCS R2, SharePoint. As an audio visual integrator there are also some great opportunities to learn some more unusual technologies like video conferencing, digital signage and video streaming.
The successful candidate will join a friendly team in a busy and professional environment.
Roles & Responsibilities
Co-supporting 190 end users across multiple Sites and remote works.
PC and Laptop builds including physical repairs
Hardware refreshing
Hands on internal support
Remote support possible occasion travel
Mobile device support
Software rollouts
Asset Recording
IP phone support
Troubleshooting systems ; diagnosing and solving hardware/ software faults (VPNs, printers, office 2010 pro plus, OCS, ipads, smart phones)
Rapidly establishing a good working relationship with users and 3rd party support personnel.
Creating and maintaining active directory entries (office sites/ emails VPN, OCS, phone system, anti virus)
Handle PCs urgent/ routine updates
Network patching
As our network is business critical, you may occasionally be asked to work out of hours to ensure that downtime is kept to an absolute minimum
Skills:
The job scope will require you to support all areas of the business from an IT perspective which means that effective communication skills are essential
All training will be given, although a good understand of desktops would be an advantage.

Our client is currently seeking a System designer to support the sales department in the preparation, creation and administration of Tenders, Bids and pre-qualifications, etc.
Roles & Responsibilities
Your primary role is to provide pre-order technical design and estimating support capability to the Business Managers
Working as part of the estimating team providing cost advice and outline/detailed design to verify tender submission
Assist in the standardisation of design and products
Form part of the bid team at client interview

Our client is looking for an onsite AV technician to work within a small team.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
General comprehensive education or equivalent, Qualifications Equivalent to 5 GSCEs grade C or above
A working knowledge of communications and audio visual systems.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES
Reporting to the on site Team leader
· Provide Service Delivery across site against pre agreed SLA including day to day support of the AV facilities
· 1st /2nd line repairs, locate faults and provide resolutions i.e. fix /loan equipment
· Liaise with and manage relationships with third party suppliers on all technical issues
· Prepare equipment for future events and meetings as required
· Provide support and user training on an individual basis to users at all levels of seniority when required.

· Required to work onsite shifts to meet requirements and some out of hours will be required when the business demands.

· Set up of internal/external laptops to integrated projection and standalone units.
· Operation of auditorium events

We are looking for contractors to work over a 3 month period: June - September.
Key Responsibilities for the successful candidate may include but not be limited to the following:
Liaison with other internal departments, clients and contractors.
Good working knowledge of video/ audio standards and formats from basic consumer grade broadcast standards such as SMPTE 292, 625, Black burst and tri cast sync, some knowledge of broadcast standard control and edit systems an advantage.
Physically setup elements of systems to prove the concept.
Deal with all aspects of interfacing audio visual systems into our Clients infrastructure - this will encompass both hardware and software
Interfaces
Perform on-site commissioning and configuration programming of our Systems to a high standard including acceptance, training and post design review.

Candidates for this role should have skills and experience with at least some of the following:
Audio DSP programming- for some, or preferably all of - QSC, BiAmp, Polycom, Broadcast communication systems, including interfacing LAN and analogue/ digital audio.
Analogue and digital audio mixing console set up and operation preferably Yamaha.
Vision mixing and Graphics processing preferably experience of Snell & Wilcox, Pro-Bel, Fibre optic transmission, HD broadcast cameras with PTZ control, HD/SD SDI and tri level sync.
Commissioning and operation of broadcast studios with experience of the setup and commissioning of these systems,
IP. Connectivity and control.
IPTV distribution systems an advantage.
Acoustics.
Hands on AV installation experience
CTS qualifications an advantage, but not essential.
Good sense of humor and the ability to work under pressure
