Our client, an established Merchant Bank with presence across the UK and an outstanding reputation for their investment portfolio management proposition, is currently looking to recruit a fund administration manager to their Cheshire operation.
The primary focus of the role is to co-ordinate fund administration activities for the firm's specialist funds (including discretionary) and manage the service that is delivered to outsourced administration providers. However this is a more senior role that demands, alongside reconciliations, compliance, reporting and payment processes, that the successful candidate will oversee the fund administrators on the team and may be asked to directly manage one or more of them.
The company is looking for experience in the following areas and therefore invites applications from those working within asset/investment management:
Extensive fund administration experience (accounting, custody and transfer agency preferred) Working with outsourced administration suppliers NAV calculations SDRT reports to replicate NAV calculation process
Alongside such skills are more generic requirements, such as attention to detail, the ability to work in a pressurised environment and good written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications such as the IMC or IOC (previously IAQ) would be advantageous.
This is an exciting time to join the company given the growth they have experienced in recent years and their ambitious plans for the future. Their Cheshire office is the central hub for their investment proposition and will only continue to develop in importance.

Description

|
Exchange Street has been exclusively retained by this North West based Chartered Accountancy practice to bolster their financial planning team by inserting a new consultant into their Manchester office.
The existing financial planning team are exceptionally busy, writing sizeable sums of new business and managing a large amount of renewals, meaning they are not able to fully service the clients the firm has in place. This necessitates the need for a new advisor to establish contact with these clients and maximise the work the firm undertakes with them.
Our client requires any applicant to be an experienced and highly ethical advisor with a demonstrable track record of success in the independent arena. Excellent technical knowledge is a high priority, backed up by the attainment of the Diploma in Financial Planning and progression towards Chartered status, something other advisers at the firm already hold. It is also advantageous if candidates have worked either with Chartered Accountants previously and are able to quickly build effective working relationships.
As the only advisor based from this office this is an exciting and high quality opportunity for an experienced, ambitious and competent advisor to further their career.
The package on offer will reflect the firm's belief in rewarding their staff through good salaries that will be increased on an ongoing basis in line with improved performance.

Description

We have recently been retained by this prestigious national wealth management IFA to assist in their search for a high quality paraplanner. Committed to providing the best possible support to their fee earners, the technical support team continues to burgeon to keep pace with the overall growth of the firm.
Clients at the firm are generally wealthy professionals with the holistic advice on offer tending to focus on investments, tax mitigation and specialist pensions, although a good deal of corporate work is also carried out. To that end applicants must have a strong grounding in these areas and be able to deal confidently with the research and report writing required of them.
Applicants will likely have made good progression with their Diploma and be very close to attaining their level 4 qualification if they have not already done so. Certainly once on board, the successful individual will be expected to undertake further study.
As an organisation they are more than happy to assist in the long-term development of their staff with a culture rewarding rather than thwarting ambition. This does include longer-term opportunities to move into the sales arena, something the firm have done on numerous occasions.

Our client is a Private Bank that provides discretionary portfolio management services to their HNW client base. They currently seek an experienced investment manager to join their compliance team in Manchester as part of an ongoing project to assess suitability of advice provided to their advisory and discretionary clients.
As the role will require the successful applicant to review all advice given, check procedures have been followed and assess the overall suitability of the advice given, our client has requested that any candidate has experience of running discretionary investment portfolios in an investment management capacity. Technical knowledge needs to be of a very high standard and will be backed by qualifications such as the IMC or CISI Diploma.
The need is therefore for someone with specific investment management, rather than compliance, experience.
On offer is an initial 6 month contract and a salary of c£45,000.
For more information on this exciting role please contact Andy Taylor or Robert Perry on 0161 973 6900 or (url removed).
