Reporting to the Engineering Manager and leading a team of five multi-disciplined engineers, the appointed Engineering Shift Leader will be responsible for the correct management of PPM Schedules, reduction in production downtimes, delivering key performance results and ensuring that all operations within their remit of control are conducted in accordance with site Health & Safety policies. The Engineering Shift Leader will also be tasked with identifying and delivering training needs within the engineering department and to reinforce a ‘high performance culture’, encouraging continuous Improvement initiatives.
To be considered for this position, applicants must hold recognised qualifications in either mechanical or electrical engineering and have previous experience leading an engineering team within the food & drinks industry or a similar manufacturing environment. They will possess strong management skills with the ability to motivate others, whilst leading from the front. This role is around 60% management work and 40% hands engineering, so the appointed individual must be able to demonstrate previous examples of hand-on management.
Working Hours: 12hr, 4 on 4 off shifts (covering both days and nights)

The Planning Manager will manage a team of 25 within Production Planning, Scheduling and Materials. The responsibilities of this role includes all scheduling and planning on site with full accountability for fulfilment of orders and raw materials, including variance, supply, usage and waste.
