To undertake assembly and test, in batches of hundreds, of the company's high tech, high value sensors, and handling of goods in and shipments to customers. Responsibilities will include the handling of goods-in principally components, receiving, checking quality, documenting, and placing into Stores. The Company
Design and manufacture specialist instruments relating to power supplies, instrumentation and control systems. They are privately owned and have been established for over 34 years. With 40 employees and a current turnover of around £6million per year together with a well defined expansion plan. They are now looking for an Electronics Design Engineer to join their design and development department. They are now looking for a well-rounded Senior Electronics Design Engineer to join our design and development department. You are likely to be involved in the design and development of new products to add to the company’s range as well as with bespoke designs to meet specific customer needs.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a company that will not only allow you to get involved in all aspects of electronics design but will also encourage you to test your knowledge and constantly learn about new technologies and techniques. You will get involved in product design and development as well as the ongoing support for existing products. You will work closely with sales, engineering and production departments to ensure that customer requirements are fully met.
The Candidate
You will be qualified to degree level (or equivalent) in electronics engineering or other very relevant subject, with 8-10 years subsequent electronics design and development experience within a similar environment. You will be required to demonstrate your experience in hardware design (analogue and digital circuit design), embedded systems design using microprocessors and FPGA s, software programming, design and programming of firmware for microprocessors and FPGA s, and an appreciation for the mechanical design aspects of products (packaging, panels). Ideally you will also be highly competent with some programming languages (C/C++, VB, HP/Agilent Vee, LabView), PC Applications (MS Office, AutoCAD, CorelDraw, PADs, GC-Prevue), data communications and networks, and real-time monitoring and controls systems.
The Package
The basic salary for this position will be in the £35-45k region (depending on previous experience). In addition a generous annual bonus (recent bonuses have been in excess of 1 months’ salary) is paid depending on both your and the company’s performance. A comprehensive benefits package is also included upon satisfactory completion of an agreed probationary period.
