My client is highly successful in the CCTV security marketplace and is seeking a Junior Engineer who can grow with the company. The Primary role will be to build and test systems, progressively moving to technical support and other roles.
My client supplies equipment and systems to major names in the security installation industry, providing them with technical support before, during and after installation. The principle product range is networking digital video recording and transmission systems. These server storage systems can range from single servers to large networked systems.
Technical support tasks are very varied from taking incoming telephone calls to building and testing of complete systems, fault finding, repairs and assisting in system design. It also includes training customer's engineers in basic programming and fault finding and making site visits to assist in commissioning and training the customers operators.
It is important you are customer facing and have god communication skills in that my client receive calls from a wide range of people who are need to be carefully talked through the various features and benefits of the systems as well as assisting in presentations. There is a large element of exposure to customers.
We are a small operation, currently 5 people so the need to work for periods alone - after suitable product training - is required.
Recognised qualifications in PC hardware are an advantage. My client does function in a specialised field and someone with good knowledge of PC hardware and basic knowledge of Windows, combined with good interpersonal skills, commitment and enthusiasm would be suitable. Detailed product training will be given cover all aspects of our systems to adapt existing skills to our products. .

* Good knowledge of PC hardware and Windows operating systems
* Some experience of building, trouble shooting and repairing PC's
* Creative and logical approach to problem solving
* Good interpersonal skills and flexible approach
* Good telephone manner

My client is seeking an experienced Software Tester who will have sole responsibility for managing the full software testing lifecycle. This will range from managing version control of all new development, through rigorous UAT testing to final live code deployment.
The solution is a web based platform and it is critical that as a Software Tester you have experience of:-
Microsoft Tools/Technologies (IIS, ASP, ASP.NET SQL Server/T-SQL, VSS, VB and Java Script) and;
Knowledge of testing solutions that use replication.

Web Application Testing
Will have worked in a load balanced environment
Will have done stress testing
Will have some IIS knowledge.
In addition you will be a methodical Software Tester who is able to work as part of a team whilst also being able to work on their own initiative. You will be a member of a very committed team who have been with the business since its formation. The solution is complex. You must be able to demonstrate having worked on similar projects as a Software Tester, ideally in a smaller company environment whilst delivering against tight timescales.
