Supply Chain Futures are recruiting a Demand Analyst (Asda) on behalf of a fresh food manufacturing business in Yorkshire. Reporting into the specific Asda account team in the business, this role has been created to help communicate Asdas trends and sales forecast to operational planning teams.
This role will be accountable for maintaining the Retail Link system and creating a forecasting document which is used by the business to create schedules for production, materials, packaging and ingredients.
The roles main responsibilities are to:
Uses analytical and quantitative methods to understand, predict sales trends and replicate these trends into the forecast document
Responsible for co-ordinating with the sales team analysts performance, identifying problems, and being aware of how potential issues can impact the forecast.
Administer and maintain the accuracy of the forecast document.
Gathers and interprets relevant sales data
Investigates problems, finds root causes, and develops solutions
Develops periodic performance reports and distribute
Provides analytical support for projects, new line ranges, and promotions
Ideally, candidates will have had some demand or supply forecasting experience within a food or retail industry. This company supplies major grocers, so a proven track record of working in collaboration with any of the top grocers is essential, having worked for/with Asda before is desirable.
The role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines within a fast paced industry is a must, as is the ability to communicate effectively to internal and external stakeholders.
The Demand Analyst will spend most of their working week at their employers head office and split the rest of the time between Asda House and company production facilities.
