INTERNAL SALES & ESTIMATING AND TENDERING ENGINEER.
My client, an established manufacturer of Motor Control and Switchgear systems are currently recruiting for a candidate with a good electrical engineering background. My clients product range includes motor control and switchgear for 415V / 3.3KV / 6.6KV / 11KV systems, PLC, SCADA, Automation Systems, Crane Control Systems, AC drives and equipment packages which may consist of several of the mentioned products. The successful candidate will ideally have experience in one of more of these fields.
This position will particularly suit an Engineer wishing to move into a Sales environment.
Reporting to the Sales Director, the position is located in Bedford and involves:
•Interpreting client requirements,
•Selecting suitable products,
•Producing estimates and detailed tenders.
•Providing support to the Account Managers.
You will often be required to liaise with clients to ensure that the technical content of the estimates are correct. Sales engineers and the Technical department are available for advice & support when required.
Microsoft Windows packages are used for preparation of quotations and for storage of enquiries and quotes. Familiarity with MS Word, Excel & Access would be useful.
Although not essential, the ability to use AutoCAD or Visio would be beneficial.
Salary is negotiable depending on skills and experience.
The company operates a profit-related bonus scheme (subject to company performance).

Senior Account Manager – Packaging/Food Industry/Hospitality
The Company
My client is the industry leader in creative design and innovation of food packaging and disposables. Founded 17 years ago by the current owner, the company is unique and successful in the food-packaging arena. With a turnover in excess of £17 million and a national distribution network, they offer clients bespoke service to enhance their product offering. With customers such as Harrods, Marks & Spencer's, Tesco's and Sainsbury's to name but a few, their strength is in their people and they are currently looking to recruit in to the following position.
The Role
Home based/based out of their North London offices; the successful candidate will be responsible for managing some of their key accounts. These would probably amount to no more than 15, but some of these will be multi-site and have several contacts within the company. The portfolio is worth circa £2 million per year.
The Person
Suitable candidates will have experience in the catering or food industry or certainly understand the market. Ideally he/she will have had exposure to blue-chip clients or managing accounts. The company are however, flexible and provide full product training and a month-long induction.
He/she will be creative and understand conceptual selling. Due to the nature of the role and the type of clients, the successful candidate must be impeccably presented in line with the company's image.
The Package
A basic salary of £30,000 is on offer, together with a generous OTE, plus an expenses float (paid in advance), fully expensed company car (BMW or Golf), fuel card, mobile phone etc. 20 days paid holiday.
