ITM Power is committed to clean sustainable energy solutions based around water electrolysis. Our principal motivation is to engineer zero-carbon hydrogen energy systems that provide energy security and independence from fossil fuels.
ITM's electrolyser and fuel cell technologies have the potential to become the cornerstones of a future hydrogen economy based on 'green' hydrogen. Our hydrogen systems are able to convert renewable energy to a clean fuel, that can be indefinitely stored for use in transport, residential and industrial applications.
As a result of continued development they are now looking to appoint a Director of Engineering / Engineering Director to their team to lead a team of multi-skilled design and development engineers, manufacturing and assembly personnel, installation and commissioning technicians, service and maintenance engineers, testing and quality technicians, and third party suppliers and partners.
Essential Requirements :-
*Chartered Engineer with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering. Post-graduate qualifications are preferred.
*Be able to demonstrate success in working at Director or Senior Manager level in a manufacturing, chemical engineering or gas environment.
*Be experienced in leading multi-disciplined product research, design and development teams.
*Possess a "lead from the front" mentality, being as happy on the shop floor with your sleeves rolled up and a spanner in your hand as in project review meetings.
*Have a solid understanding of the Pressure Equipment Directive, ATEX regulations and the requirements for CE marking.
*Experienced in building and managing engineering teams, and able to add real value to those teams.
*A proficient project manager.
*Commercially aware.
*Able to work as a key member of a senior management team.
Salary is negotiable according to experience but is likely to be in the range of £60,000-£80,000 plus
benefits; more may be available to secure an outstanding candidate. A relocation package is also available for candidates who do not currently live in the local area but who meet all the above requirements.
It is also envisaged that the successful candidate will prove themselves worthy of board membership over a period of time.

Role : Production Planner and Estimator
Location : Rotherham area
Salary : £25-30,000
Modern manufacturing plant.
You will be responsible for the planning of work through a small but busy machine shop and the main factory, estimating material & labour costs, planning and expediting the orders through production, ensuring all relevant quality and export documentation is prepared to ensure on time and in full deliveries.
You will have a background in production planning, ideally with a formal qualification in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering or similar. You will be equally at home in the production office or on the shop floor. You will be able to produce estimates of labour and materials costs.
Whilst every effort is always made to have a weekly production plan in place, customer demands require frequent amendments to the plan and as such you must be able to be extremely reactive to changes in demand / urgency of jobs. You will also need to be pretty thick skinned and able to sit in the gap between sales and production, balancing the needs of both.
Experience with MRP systems is very much preferred.

Essential Duties
*Responsibility for the conversion of sales and stock forecasts into a build plan that delivers flexibility of sales, maintains appropriate finished goods stock and balances production capacity
