The job role will include; technical responsibility for enabling the EC&I aspects of the site based activities on the project and potentially with other projects in the nuclear and process sectors, producing/reviewing man-hour estimates for EC&I scope on multi-discipline projects, producing and/or reviewing EC&I design package drawings and schedules etc.
The successful candidate should also have extensive experience of; establishment design experience working on a relevant nuclear/process plant with a proven record of achievement of technically adequate fit for purpose and cost effective design.
Nuclear security clearance would be of an advantage.

The Role
• You will provide mechanical design solutions according to cost and project requirements.
• Providing concept designs for proposal purposes
• Providing design solutions for existing designs
• Providing and supporting the manufacturing date pack to enable manufacture and assembly.
• Completing first level structural analysis.
• Communicating with customers, suppliers and members of project team.
The ideal candidate will have a Mechanical Engineering Degree and be experienced in using PTC Wildfire or similar 3D Design software.
• You also need to be self motivated with excellent communication skills.
• Be a good problem solver
• Be highly IT literate in MS Office products
• Have a good understanding of Structural Analysis
• Have good knowledge of modern manufacturing materials
• Be enthusiastic about innovative products design and development.
• Have knowledge of modern rapid prototyping technology
• Posess great presentation skills.
