Candidates are expected to be degree qualified or equivalent in an appropriate science or engineering subject and hold a full UK driving license.

Experience in the production of nuclear safety cases and/or radiological assessments, specifically for reactors, either in civil or defence markets

· Deterministic and probabilistic safety analysis

DescriptionRegister your CV Electrical Design Engineer required with a HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering for a 6 - 12 months contract/possible permanant position in Glasgow.

Design experience preferably in Infrastructure, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, MOD and/or the Nuclear Industries, would be an advantage.

Responsibilities:

* Through the use of various software applications, specific to the project, execute tasks allocated by Lead Electrical Design Engineer as part of the design team. These will include, but not be limited to; o Routing of cables, using CMPic. o Updating of (2D) routing drawings, using AutoCAD. o Interrogation of 3D models, using FORAN and/or Product View. * Undertake electrical design associated with a multi billion pound contract, liaising with a variety of different design offices across the UK as required. * Liaise with and co-operate with other members of the project team to deliver the assigned activities in accordance with the Company safety policy. * Report to the Lead Electrical Design Engineer or supervising engineer on a regular basis as required. * Carry out other duties as may reasonably be considered to be a function of a competent engineer as applicable and as directed * Ensure all duties are carried out in accordance with standard Company Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental Procedures and Business Process Manual. * Check / review drawings and technical documents and maintain an auditable record of these checks.
