Principal Commercial Officer Real pride. Real advantage. An opportunity has arisen for a Principal Commercial Officer to be working from BAE SYSTEMS site in Frimley, Hampshire. You will be managing the commercial aspects of contracts and sub-contracts as well as taking Bids through the business approval process (LCM and Tender Vets). As a Principal Commercial Officer, your main skills and responsibilities will include: Provide Bids and Proposals into the MOD Negotiate resulting contract offers Ensure flow down of Terms and Conditions to Sub Contractors Manage and resolve customer queries and issues in areas of responsibility, escalating significant problems as appropriate. Develop and maintain customer relationships both internally and externally. Deliver commercial support and guidance to other functions. Manage the Implementation of procedures and controls within the specified area to ensure compliance with commercial policies. Adopt clear understandings with suppliers of both technical and commercial issues to ensure that business arrangements minimise risk. Propose and review complex terms and conditions to ensure that BAE SYSTEMS Business interests are protected. Draft detailed Agreements including Purchase Orders, Enabling Agreements, Technical Assistance Agreements, Contracts, Sub-Contracts, amendments and Service Level Agreements. Understand the financial and pricing requirements of commercial contracts. Contribute to the development of others. Proactively identify, manage and mitigate commercial risk. As a Principal Commercial Officer, your skills and qualifications will ideally include: Commercial qualification Experience of working with the MOD, or within the Defence industry Understanding of technical documents from a Commercial perspective Experience in DEFCON terms and conditions Salary: Circa £40,000 depending on experience Grade: S5 Maritime Submarines BAE Systems Maritime - Submarines is home to the design, build, test and commissioning of the Astute class - the Royal Navy's latest and most capable generation of attack submarines.
