Due to continued expansion they now have a requirement for a Mobile Plant Fitter to join their team at their site in Watford. Based from home and covering the Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, London and Essex areas, the successful candidate will be responsible for the service, maintenance and repair of plant equipment on site. Candidates must be flexible in their approach to travel. This is an exciting opportunity to work for an established and reputable company. Although not essential, this may be suited to candidates coming from an Armed Forces background i.e. Royal Navy, British Army (Royal Engineer/REME), Royal Air Force (MT)), with a strong mechanical/plant engineering background. Responsibilities: - Travel to customer sites and conduct repairs and service as required in an efficient manner. - Liaise with customers onsite keeping them up to date with progress and best possible solution. - Establish and maintain good customer relationships. - Test equipment to make sure it is in working order. - Complete service documentation and forward to depot. - Notify the Workshop Manager/Foreman of any damaged plant machinery identified. - Provide the Workshop Manager/Foreman with details of all machine services and inspections carried out. - Carry out three monthly and six monthly servicing schedules of equipment. - Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to statutory and Company Health & Safety Regulations. - Attend regular toolbox talks and team meetings. - Compliance with all Company procedures in relation to maintaining and repairing equipment. - Maintain an up to date knowledge of Company and manufacturer maintenance. - Ensure that knowledge and understanding of the Company’s processes, policies and systems is maintained at all times. - Keep company vehicle in a clean condition.
