|
A fantastic role has arisen for an experienced Quality Engineer to join a leading organisation within the aerospace and defence sector in Shepshed, Leicestershire on a three month contract, potentially longer.
The role will involve the production of First Article Inspection reports for customers on new products and re-engineered existing drawings. In addition you will:
Generate and implement quality plans to meet customer requirements
Manage and host customer audits and source inspection activities
Ensure inspection processes are adhered to and sign-off of product prior to despatch
Establish and track quality KPIs and implement activities to drive improvements
Conduct FAIs and ensure the smooth transition of new products into production
In order to be successful you will need to demonstrate the following:
A background in Quality Assurance/Inspection environment and have an understanding of quality tools and techniques
Be highly experienced with engineering drawings and geometrical tolerance
Possess experience within a manufacturing environment
Previous experience of producing Aerospace standard FAI reports
Quality planning and be capable of effectively implementing customer specific requirements
A thorough understanding of key manufacturing quality standards
Hours of work are Mon Thurs 8.30am 5pm with a 3.30pm finish on Friday.
