Our client is currently recruiting for line technicians to work at their packing plant in Dunstable due to continued growth.
The main purpose of the role is to ensure the packing lines run efficiently and smoothly in order to meet production targets. To complete line change overs for beginning and end of shift, make adjustments to machinery to improve efficiency and reduce down time.
We are looking for someone to work on a temp-perm basis over a 12 week period. You will need to have a mechanical background and ideally have worked in a similar role.
The machines are Gluing, Coding, Robot Palletisers and general packing machines for the food industry.
This position offers a lot of progression and responsibility, you will need to be able to work on your own initiative and have an excellent eye for detail. You will need to ensure the lines are continuously running and also be able to set them up. There are maintenance engineers on-site so you need to get involved with them to work on continuous improvement of the machinery. You will need good interpersonal skills, be computer literate, be organised, be a team player and be self motivated.
The salary for this role is a training salary and will go up considerably when made permanent.
