Planning Project Information Manager PMO NPO Project Office NHS Prince2 - This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join a cutting edge NHS IT programme to work as a Planning/Project Management Specialist. Reporting directly to the PMO Programme Head and based out of the National Programme Office (NPO) of a 12bn IT programme. You will be responsible for the assurance of the plans produced by third party suppliers for the development and introductions of solutions and services into the national programme for IT. You will also be required to offer Project Management consultancy by advising NHS clients on the drawing up and agreement of project plans with suppliers. Utilising a variety of planning tools including MS Project, Excel and Primavera, you will plan, monitor, and report on programme progress, whilst identifying dependencies, variances, slippage and apply critical path analysis to programme plans. Key to this role will be the applicants ability to spot gaps and errors in plans and reports whilst also maintaining credible deliverables with Project and Programme Managers. The successful applicants will ideally have previous experience of working in a fast moving project environment, with excellent stakeholder management skills. This will include the ability to extract key information from stakeholders to ensure key milestones have been met. The role,

To work with the Locality Clinical Lead to support local practice based commissioners to identify the level and nature of services they need to commission for their population. To jointly manage and lead the monthly PBC locality meeting ensuring the business of the locality is dealt with in a timely and efficient manner; gaining agreement and co-operation to sensitive and contentious issues around service development. To present highly complex or sensitive information to key stakeholders through GP meetings and large patient events and workshops, ensuring presentation of information is adapted to audience needs. To provide practice level support through regular practice visits, dealing with sensitive issues around referral information and management, with input from PBC finance lead as appropriate. To support the on-going development of links between the PCT and local practice based commissioners (including colleagues from Provider Development, Finance and Public Health).

It is important that each applicant has experience of working in the NHS and has been in a commissioning related role. The NHS trust will consider applicants that have worked in an information or performance management role however experience of payment by results and practiced based commissioning is essential.
