Responsible for the compilation and presentation of Visual Merchandising Guidelines and 3D visuals/ renderings. Presentation and layout of all Guidelines are created in partnership with Visual Merchandising Manager for Corporate Guidelines and Visual Merchandising Guideline Co-ordinator. This role will contribute to the overall presentation of the guidelines through research in the market place and best practices of store presentation each season.
In addition this role will support the Visual Merchandising Graphics Co-ordinator on all other Visual Merchandising graphic work with a priority focus on showrooms and events. This role plays a key part in the building of 3D visuals and is responsible for renderings of windows, events and showrooms.
Key Responsibilities
•Work alongside Visual Merchandising Guideline Co-ordinator for information required to produce company guidelines.
•Compile seasonal guidelines from information relayed by Visual Merchandising Manager Corporate Guidelines and Visual Merchandising Graphics Co-ordinator.
•Work with the Visual Merchandising Graphic Co-ordinator on layout and design for Visual Merchandising guidelines each season as well as flash guides and updates.
•Make suggestions and find creative solutions for guidelines in conjunction with the Marketing and Communications department.
•Work on line drawings for merchandising capacities and examples using in-design for each guideline produced.
•Work with Visual Merchandising team on all new props and fixtures to ensure guidelines cover this.
•Assist Visual Merchandising Manager Corporate Guidelines and Visual Merchandising Guideline Co-ordinator in managing time for compiling, printing and sending out guidelines.
•Provide photographic support to Visual Merchandising Manager Corporate Guidelines and Visual Merchandising Guideline Co-ordinator in stores.
•Accompany Merchandisers in stores to photograph guidelines and collections.
•Complete work for other members of the Visual Merchandising team, as delegated by Visual Merchandising Graphic Coordinator.
•Collect information on window schemes and props in order to compile & produce window guidelines.
•Clean and correct images for guidelines.
•Interrupt creative direction for multi format windows and events.
•Create 3D renderings/illustrations of shows, events and windows.
•Create seasonal event guidelines with Visual Merchandising Manager Corporate Guidelines in line with direction.
•Basic Photoshop work for guidelines and renderings.
Essential Skills and Experience
•Design graduate with proven track record in computer graphics.
•Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, QuarkXpress, 3D Studio Viz, AutoCad, PowerPoint, Word, Excel and photography.
•Strong visual presentation skills from drawing to 2D and 3D images.
•Strong team player and excellent communication skills.
•Self sufficient & motivated.
•Well organised with ability to achieve seasonal deadlines.
•Flexible approach.
NB. This role is suitable for recent graphic design graduates. However you must have initial work experience and be proficient in 3D Studio Viz.
