The Role:

Specific Duties:

Support the on-going development and refinement of the Quality System. This may include participation in activities related to Internal Quality Audits and Quality System Core Teams.

The Role:

Installation of new automated plant equipment.
Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulics, Pneumatics experience
Fault diagnosis/breakdown repairs on automated assembly equipment
Co ordinate maintenance activities and manage problem escalation
Analyse breakdowns and implement countermeasures
Identification machine spares and upkeep of spares facility
Power Press knowledge
TPM Activities
PU Foam knowledge

Key skills and attributes
ABB robotics
Proven track record in electrical/electronic fault finding
Good understanding of PLC control systems (Allen Bradley & Siemens S7)
Working knowledge of pneumatics/hydraulics
Supervisory experience ideal but not essential
Good verbal and written communication skills, together with computer literacy
Self motivated, flexible and ability to undertake training in additional skills and
Qualified to City and Guilds, ONC, NVQ levels 3 or 4 in electrical/electronic engineering/installations.

The Role:

As a Project Engineer within engineering, you'll plan and manage projects within a body in white (BIW) environment (Installation of Welding & Robotics cells), making sure they are completed on time and within budget.

Agreeing the timescales, costs and resources needed
Drawing up a detailed plan for how to achieve each stage of the project

Negotiating with contractors and suppliers for materials and services

The Role:

Support all manufacturing engineering aspects of the program from Order to SOP+ 3 months (ATM)

Finds the commitment of the Manufacturing experts to validate the main options in term of Products/Process/Tool
Ensure manufacturing feasibility
Designs cell layouts, border line, internal handling flows & organisation, according group methodology and with active support of APS coach
Assure the industrialization of necessary equipment, in line with standards, and follow up with suppliers
Manage the production launch and support Ramp-up, assuring respect of client milestones
Responsible to manage the investment and start up budget

Our Client are a well-funded well run Precision CNC subcontractor Machines used include fixed head bar fed mill turn centres, 3 axis machining centres and sliding head lathes.

Customers include areas such as automotive, medical, control valves and fittings for oil & gas, domestic heating and yellow goods, environmental and assisted living.

The Role:

To work within a team environment to develop and implement practices that emphasis defect prevention; reduction in variation and waste and provide for continuous improvements in meeting customer requirements.

Specific Duties:

Support the on-going development and refinement of the Quality System. This may include participation in activities related to Internal Quality Audits and Quality System Core Teams.
Promote the use techniques for continuous improvement.

Ensure that controlled documents supporting the quality system as they related to the quality assurance department are developed, current and relevant. Maintain quality records that support this activity.

Provide concise, complete and accurate documentation of inspection results relative to their area of responsibility. In appropriate function areas, this refers to supporting inspection and test status requirements defined by government regulations, engineering product specifications or Control Plans.

Take corrective actions and/or preventative action when the product or process does not conform to stated requirements. Take preventative action based upon the regular review of quality assurance data to reduce variation and waste.

Participate in lean manufacturing activities and contribute to process improvements including product flow and process organisation/layout.

Address customer concerns, prepare responses as appropriate to the customer. Process customer warranty claims and disposition product as required.

Monitor and report on supplier product quality and delivery performance.

Oversee various quality department tasks such as product analysis, customer PPAP's, receiving inspection, calibrations, product inspection and measurement analysis.

Assist production supervisor in the delivery of training and coaching of production employees.

Generate and communicate quality reports.
Understand and implement customer quality standards.

Calibration of onsite measuring equipment to relevant British Standards.
To function in an accurate and efficient manner in order to promote our clients public image.
Any other duties as may be reasonably be required to commensurate with the role.

The role also includes health and safety and risk assessment
Other duties includes CMM programing and operating. First off inspection cover.

Specific Requirements:

Five years' experience working in quality assurance in manufacturing environment.

ISO TS16949 Automotive Quality Systems would be desirable but not essential.
Flexibility in working hours to meet the needs of production shifts.
Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, specifications and manuals is desirable.
Knowledge of: Sub contract engineering, ISO9001, TS16949, SPC, FMEA, PPAP, 8D, IMDS and FAIR
