A Team Leaders position has become available within the Stability and Bio-analytics group of the Analytical Development Department of an expanding company. The Stability group is based at the R&D facility and comprises scientists involved in stability and formulation studies.
Key Responsibilities of the Role:
Line management responsibility for a stability team within the R&D facility
Delivery of agreed work programmes to meet timeline and budget
Scheduling of studies and resources for on time delivery of studies for both internal and external customers
Management review of analytical data, study protocols and reports ensuring that studies are delivered to the appropriate and consistent scientific, technical and quality standards
Provide leadership of the development of technical and scientific capabilities to improve/maintain quality of study activities delivered to internal and external customers.
Knowledge of GMP systems as applied to analytical development services and responsibilities for ensuring for compliance of studies and representing the company during site GMP inspection
Presentation and representation of stability study activities to customers, potential new customers, external meetings and other sites
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The candidate should have knowledge of proteins and/or biological systems and ideally some prior formulation/ stability study experience. The candidate should also have some practical experience in some of the following core techniques SDS electrophoresis; iso-electric focussing, ELISA, HPLC and spectrophotometric methods. In addition some experience of working and organising studies performed to GMP is required. Some previous line management responsibility or supervision of either direct or indirect reports is required. Proven ability to deliver multiple complex analytical projects to agreed timelines and resource plans would be an advantage.
Good interpersonal skills and communication skills (oral and written) are required.
