PURPOSE:
The primary function of this position is to supervise and coordinate activities of workers concerned with all day to day warehouse activities including inventory management, 3rd party suppliers and assisting in the delivery of UK projects.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Act as a working Supervisor.
Ensure that inbound product is received / stocked in a correct and timely manner.
Ensure that orders are picked / packed accurately and in a timely manner.
Ensure that warehoused product is properly stocked and locations properly maintained in the computer system
Conduct or participate in the cycle counting of product.
Delegate work to warehouse personnel based on the operational needs of the Company.
Ensure that the warehouse is maintained in a clean and organised manner.
Conduct employee reviews, corrective counseling, RTW interviews and disciplinary hearings of warehouse personnel.
Schedule maintenance for equipment when deemed necessary.
Ensure that warehouse personnel work in and maintain a safe work environment.
Contact external customers to arrange for incoming deliveries
Liaise with 3rd parties / suppliers to facilitate the delivery of other warehouse service related activities.
Assist the UK Management team with related Business Projects.
Continually review and improve internal procedures to maximise warehouse productivity.
Continually review and improve internal procedures to minimise warehouse expenditure.
Follow other job-related instructions and perform job-related tasks as requested.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Previous experience in a distribution environment
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Good working knowledge of SAP or similar operating system.
Excellent communication skills
High level of leadership skills.
