Operations Travel Consultant
My client is looking for a SPECIALIST TRAVEL CONSULTANT with knowledge of NEW ZEALAND. The purpose of your role is to speak to clients who call in enquiring about booking a package and converting it to a sale. The beauty of this role is that IT IS NOT A HARD SELL IT IS A CONSULTATION PROCESS. You will have to put together packages as well as consult on existing programmes.
Duties and Responsibilities
Field a wide range of reservations over the telephone, face to face and email/internet
Aim to achieve maximum revenue possible for each booking by proactively up selling
Keep the marketing team updated and informed of all useful customer comments, developments from suppliers and any changes or new additions to product
Writing and replying to various types of correspondence
Attending holiday shows and travel workshops when necessary
Maintain a good degree of knowledge on the regions and products your are selling
Process bookings on computer reservations system
Achieve measurable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs / Targets) aligned to the overall business strategy
Requirements:
Sales knowledge and experience
High degree of flexibility and ability to deal with change, growth and pressure
Excellent sales ability closing, converting, up-selling and cross-selling
Teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills
