Boasting a team of construction professionals with a proven track record in Build and Civil Engineering projects, this local contractor is in need of additional commercial resource.
Working on a live build project in North Devon, they are looking for a Senior Engineer to oversee the technicalities on an apartment development.
The project is nearing the 1st phase of ground works and you'll be required to oversee this, and also the sub-structure phase by overseeing the masonry, pre-cast floors and other packages.
A dedicated and accomplished Engineer, you'd be spending some of your time setting out but also be involved in reviewing and plotting drawings and co-ordinates, ensuring a smooth flow of information and overseeing sub-contractors.
As it's a phased project, there is a minimum of 22 weeks but a real possibility for up to a year or more's work should the contractor be successful in obtaining the ensuing phases.

Employing over 100 staff locally, this specialist refurbishment & interiors division within a major multi divisional contractor is about to commence a roll-out of several bank refurbishments in the South West.
To complete their existing team, they need an experienced Site Manager to provide short term relief cover on a live project in St Austell.
Reporting to the Contracts Manager, your duties will include overseeing the project to completion, working within the agreed timescales, monitoring sub-contractors and maintaining health & safety.
Due to the nature of these projects, you will be required to work nights, typically 4 x 12 hour shifts.
Having worked in this capacity previously, you will be from a trade background (preferably carpentry) and you must have Scaffold inspection/awareness, CITB SMSTS, First Aid at work and cscs qualifications to meet our client selection criteria. Working on live build projects in North and South Devon, they are looking for a Senior QS to run both projects with a combined value of £10m.
Coming from a main contracting or development background, you'll be a self sufficient QS as happy on site as in the office, and you will initially be working on procurement and overseeing some 70 sub-contract packages across the 2 projects.
It is envisaged you will have the necessary qualifications to boot and as the work is based on the 2 sites, you will need to have your own transport.
