Their permanent way design team offers a service covering all aspects of track design. This includes: track survey, detailed junction design, complex depot layouts, gauging and clearance assessment and trackform, component, formation and drainage design.

Purpose:
 
To Effectively Control the Engineering and Setting Out Aspects of Day to Day Construction Activities.
 
The role will involve:
Site setting out, carrying out short term planning, liaising with other site staff and operatives and keeping site records and quality documents (cost, time and safety). The successful candidate will need to work in a safe manner and monitor safety. They will input into Method Statements and Risk Assessments and will be responsible for supervising designated people (Joiner, Engineer and Operatives).  Background from Pway or permanent way or peeway or track or rail is a must

The Company

The project is a multi million pound regeneration project covering a complete Bridge refurbishment and extension, multiple building demolition and refurbishment and new stations and entrances.

Description

A Sub agent is required to supervise and assist in the demolition of an existing building and then to oversee the construction of a new build in its place adding functionality and utilising the new building as a concourse and entrance for an underground station

Requirement
Due to the nature of the project, the chosen candidate will come from a construction background and will ideally have a commercial background in demolition and re-build projects. Any candidates with a rail background with the previous mentioned skills will also be considered.
Candidates should have previous experience of having worked on large commercial projects around £5m + in value.
Candidates should hold an appropriate degree or HND/HNC in Civil Engineering or similar or have an engineering qualification (Civils or Construction Management) and ideally have attended the 5 days SMSTS course or similar safety courses.
