You will be working on high speed processing equipment, carrying out breakdowns as and when they occur. To carry out projects under local control - to time and budget constraints
To implement specifications in engineering work performed
To assist in development of engineering skills and tasks within the line team
To formulate and review the spares requirements for the area
To actively seek to improve line performance in conjunction with the Team Leaders/Technicians
To ensure that all contractors working on site adhere to our permit to work system and comply with our Company Health & Safety Policy.

Our South Yorkshire based client is expanding rapidly and looking to recruit 3 hands on electrical maintenance engineers to add to the engineering team. As a electrical engineer you will be working on breakdown maintenance and carrying out planned maintenance on a daily/weekly and monthly basis.
TYPICAL KNOWLEDGE AND AWARENESS REQUIREMENTS AND DUTIES INCLUDE:
Good level of knowledge of manufacturing plant and equipment, function and defect rectification
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
Understanding of the required quality standards
5S methodology
Understanding of continuous improvement methodology
Health and Safety practices and requirements
Reporting procedures
Technical Instruction Sheets, timing plans and similar documents
Use of Lathe, Milling machine, Surface Grinder and guillotine would be an advantage.
Welding would be an advantage.
Pneumatics, Hydraulics and site services equipment such as compressors, water treatment systems and fire protection equipment.
Licensed to use FLT, Scissor Lift, of other access equipment would be an advantage.
Good verbal and written communications skills
Ability to train and educate operators in the safe and productive use of machines
Problem solving ability in order to investigate machine problems and instigate corrective actions
Computer literate
Conversant with PLC equipment. Preferably Omron, Siemens and Allan Bradley would be an advantage.
Conversant with invertors. Preferably Omron, Control would be an advantage.
Must be prepared to work continental shifts.
