*Bank reconciliations, Sterling, Euro and Dollar *All aspects of reconciliation for factoring Ledger *Process customer credit account applications *Check and record returned T&Cs *Cover sales order dispatch desk *Answer incoming phone calls *Post credit card and Cheque receipts *Submit invoices for factoring *Prepare out going post *Action copy invoices *Holiday cover for credit control *Any other general accounts duties * Sales Ledger Hours of work Mon - Fri 9am - 5.30pm or 9.30am - 6pm for holiday cover.
Salary - £16k - £18k
Must be computer literate with Sage and have at least 3 years experience working in an accounts environment and be flexible in their attitude to work.

Our client are recruiting for experienced Credit Controller to join finance team
Debt management - ensuring invoices are paid on time through customer contact and resolving invoice queries in a timely fashion.
Accountabilities: Ensure that customers pay invoices in accordance with the agreed payment terms. In the absence of the Credit Manager the Credit Controller must ensure that orders are released in accordance with the company Credit Control policy
Responsibilities: *Ensure collections are made within policies on credit control *Liaising with the sales office to resolve invoice queries in a timely fashion to minimise payment delays. *Being customer focussed and having constant contact with customers ensuring overdue debts do not become common place. *When debts become overdue proactively and persistently pursue debt to ensure rapid payment / resolution. *Become/remain a full member of the ICM and progress with the profession studies. *In the absence of the credit manager, proactively, liaise with sales so that orders are maximised while the credit risk is kept under control. * Documented procedures must be followed in all instances, with transactions being processed with clarity and accuracy. Opportunities for improvement and/or process changes will be embarked upon in a manner consistent with company protocol and in line with departmental and holistic business requirements. *Ensure that payment journals are carried out correctly and competently *The duties and responsibilities in this job description are not restrictive and the post holder may be required to undertake any other duties which may be required from time to time. Any such duties should not, however, substantially change the general character of the post. *Letters of Credit: to understand and be able to process letters of credit.

To maintain professional competence by complying at all times with the training and competence procedures of the organisation.
To support the departmental key performance indicators and service level agreements as directed by the Broking Unit Manager.
To undertake all other duties as reasonably required and directed.
To respond to customer needs and requirements, manage renewal process, placing cover on best terms where appropriate, in an appropriate manner.
To produce documents in line with documentation service standards in order to provide a speedy and efficient service to customers.
Be able to support the Company's goals by demonstrating excellent communication skills and expertise in providing expert advice and guidance to customers in aspects of risk management and insurance portfolio.
3 years commercial insurance experience
To hit new business targets in line with the company budgets
To maintain personal knowledge and skills through continued professional development and obtaining CII professional qualifications.
