The Position of Replacement Hose and Hydraulic Engineer is a Full Time Permanent Role with a six month probationary period. You will be required to liaise with companies who operate large fleets of vehicles that at some stage could potentially need your services. You will be on call and responsive to all companies that could require immediate attention due to breakdowns on vehicles that are in the vicinity of aircraft on stand or in and around the terminal areas. You will be in charge of keeping control of all stock for the items you will require when on duty whilst working at the airport. Stock taking and maintaining stocks is an important task and you will make sure you maintain a good service if you have the correct stock in place. Placing orders for stock to replenish items used during your working day will be part of your daily duties and to liaise with the Management Team for items required for immediate repairs. You must always maintain a tidy working area out on the ramp or in the airside workshop. This includes your vehicle and ensuring you know where all your regular parts are located to make it easier when you are on call. Sales pitches to new customers, making yourself available to talk through your services and to promote how you are more efficient and responsive being on site at LHR than the other local airport competitors.
