Department
The STA function is responsible for the capacity and quality performance of all new product and current vehicle suppliers and performs an important role within the Purchasing Department. The STA function is responsible for planning, monitoring and controlling supplier manufacturing processes and activities to enable high quality and on time execution of product programmes effectively and efficiently whilst maintaining and improving current car performance.
Key Responsibilities
Site development/JLRQ Manufacturing site assessment
JLRQ/Supplier site improvement
Improve quality systems and drive continuous improvement
Sourcing support
Support review of DFMEA and lead review of PFMEA and control plans.
Advanced Product Quality planning
Phased production part approval process
Launch support (high impact suppliers)
8-D concern resolution
Warranty reduction
Schedule and conduct field action/stop shipment reviews in cases of supplier responsible concerns
There are two positions available which would suit candidates with an Electrical background.
Skills, experience and qualifications required:
Qualified to degree level within an engineering or business discipline
Experienced within a Vehicle Engineering/Quality function and familiar with the Global Product Development System
Knowledge and experience of APQP/PPAP/8D
Able to facilitate resolution of complex cross-functional issues
Good leadership/negotiation/communication & interpersonal skills
Able to operate effectively at all levels of the organisation
Self-motivated & able to work on their own initiative
Computer literate

My Client are a family run business which is now in its 21st year, in this time they have become one of the leading suppliers of replacement OEM plastic machined components mainly to the food and beverage industries.
Over the past couple of years my client has invested on new machinery and we are currently in the process of an extension to the rear of their building which will give them more room for growth, however they would now like to invest in more Engineers.
They have numerous CNC lathes, CNC milling machines, CNC routers, along with conventional milling machines, and my client has just taken delivery of a brand new HAAS VM3, therefore the ideal candidate would be used to operating these types of machines, ideally with the minimal amount of training required.
As a CNC Programmer, Operator, Setter (Turner, Miller) you will be responsible for working closely to client specifications and drawings you must have experience of CNC controls and ideally (capped programming) showing good attention to detail.
Having worked in a similar environment previously you will be able to demonstrate your ability to deliver outstanding results within an excellent working team environment.
Operating a day shift, working Monday to Friday 07.30 16.30 hrs
These positions are initially on a temporary to permanent basis giving you room to grow and enhance your existing skills with a developing and growing team.

You will have previously worked with Wintons. Gardner Denver kit or similar PTO's.
Working from home you will visit clients to assess their PTO unit and either repair, exchange or book into the workshop.
