The Job Role
To support the delivery of key project variables related to all aspects of Proposals and pre-qualification. Contribute fully to allow the central proposals department to support the corporate business objectives in line with company standards.
To participate in the preparation and submission of assigned proposals that are tasked to the central proposals department
To provide support to all divisions in the pre-qualifications, tenders and commercial proposals that they are submitting
To prepare a tender plan, identifying deliverables, and action list of what is to be done, by whom and a timetable for delivery.
To deliver the tender plan.
Ensure compliance with company policies and commercial requirements
Liaise with suppliers and third parties to ensure that accurate and compliant tenders are developed.
Coordinate internal divisions in the assistance required for the prequalification or tender being compiled
When allocated the task liaise with the client throughout the tender period
Participate in costing and cost models for all works being tendered
Assist in the preparation of all information for Management review and agreement
Attend all necessary site visits and clarification meeting are required
Ensure that out proposals do not conflict with Group HSEQ policies
Continually monitor and improve on company commercial and bidding practices
Register where required pre-qualifications and tenders

We are looking to recruit on behalf of our client Steel Erectors who have worked within bridge repairs, construction and engineering industries, installing and fixing together prefabricated steel girders. This is to work on a variety of bridges within Plymouth, the right candidate will have to have previous experience within working on the refurbishing of bridges.
Main duties would include:
• planning which order to fit the steelwork together following plans drawn up by engineers
• lifting and guiding components into position with tower cranes
• lining up and levelling steelwork before securing it in place by bolting or welding methods
• working from mobile elevated work platforms (MEWPs - cherry pickers or scissor lifts) to gain safe access to sections off the ground
• working on the structure itself at heights beyond the reach of MEWPs
• Laying down metal decking, and fixing safety netting and edge rails as you build up the structure.
