We are currently recruiting for a Senior P-Way Design Engineer on a long term contract basis. As the suitable candidate you will be based in the Derby Pway Design Team and you will undertake design work independently whilst also checking designs produced by other Engineers. The work will include a mixture of S&C and Plain Line renewals, as well as line speed improvement projects and the design of new rail lines and chords amongst other work. As the Senior Engineer you will also be expected to support and mentor the more junior Engineers in the team. The Contracts Manager’s role is to ensure that the installation of their playground and urban sports equipment schemes for both local authority and private sector customers in the U.K. are started and completed on time, to a high quality, and on budget to the customers expectations whilst also providing support to related functions i.e. sales, tendering & design. You will manage a team of 5 Regional Contracts Managers so there will be an expectation that you will be able to travel throughout the UK assisting their Client and Contractor development.
