A need has arisen for an experienced Facilities Manager to join our clients site in Cambridge. The working hours for the position are Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm. Job Purpose: *To take overall responsibility for the quality and operational day to day delivery of the FM services within the site of ownership such as Housekeeping, Engineering, Security, Cleaning, Pest Control, Waste Management, Landscaping, Postal Services and 3rd party management. *Operationally manage a portfolio of buildings comprising of critical environments and offices co-coordinating, directing and working with on-site and contracted suppliers to ensure service is maintained to the highest standard, to include but not be limited to; Provide a key interface for the client and tenants and create an excellent working relationship with internal customers, attending meetings where appropriate. Responsible for the PPM delivery with set put timescales and frequencies Own the operational space, and within the scope of the contract specification manage the customer journey and day to day delivery of all services. Ensure all store rooms / areas are managed and controlled with up to date and auditable reporting in place as well as locations and owners. Ensure all aspects of inventory management including the storage of adequate critical spares. Challenge the status quo and be prepared to change processes and procedures to improve building and facilities management Assisting where required covering team members in the delivery of first line facilities support , have full knowledge of all functions Overall responsibility for the look and feel of all the building from a housekeeping, cleaning perspective both internally and externally Be aware of all and any projects which are being undertaken within the building which may have an impact on operational delivery, contract or UCB risk. Local performance management of all services, driving operational excellence through regular monitoring of services. Proactive management, through improving speed to execute, hitting planned and reactive SLA's and increased customer satisfaction Playing a pivotal role in the disaster recovery and business continuity management, following the agreed processes and procedures. Contribute to the national contract risk register. Manage, monitor and report on the operational performance of the site, including operational delivery of planned & reactive works and financial management, Using management information tools and reports to drive down re-occurring faults Ensuring full statutory and operational compliance is achieved in line with contract KPI's. Work with the agreed financial parameters agreed within the contract, ensuring that all security, health and safety items are completed within the agreed SLA's. Ensuring where possible that NPA suppliers are utilized. Managing WIP status through monthly review of Ops report. Work with the wider team at Slough, and service partners to ensure that building assets, warranty items are correct for their site Carry out audits and inspections in line with business management systems and standard processes and ensure the Intelex is updated on a regular basis. *Line manage direct reports including performance management of all individuals to deliver through our people and work with service partners Ensure all team members training is compliant, and individuals are competent in all roles Assist the Account Manager in the management of all policies and procedures and support internal process management. *Actively participate and contribute to all team and management meetings. Any other duties required as part of the role as and when requested. *Initiate the standards and review the forward planning of maintenance activities to ensure adequate manpower loading and effective use of shutdown availability. *Ensure compliance with Safe Systems of Work including Permit to Work systems and isolation procedures. *Proven track record of operations management in a hard services & FM environment *Excellent analytical skills to operational issues *Good knowledge / experience of Microsoft office packages *Have an excellent understanding of health and safety with a minimum of IOSH/NEBOSH certification *Good interpersonal and customer relationships *Good communicator - both Written and Orally *Exceptional presentation and communication skills *Proven experience in managing a team *Smart, presentable appearance *Commercial awareness *Ability to work on own initiative and Planning skills *Internal and external negotiation skills Reed Specialist Recruitment Limited is an employment agency and employment business.

Our client is currently recruiting for a CAD/BIM Senior Technician who can effectively deliver CAD and BIM designs to their client. This role provides technical leadership of CAD/BIM to both technicians and Project Management staff. Role requires a combination of 4 major elements:- 1. Good working knowledge of main client standards (Network Rail, CrossRail) 2. Good practical knowledge of 3D design tools and the application of BIM, 4D and 5D modelling 3. Documenting and delivering training 4. Support core CAD delivery across CAD teams Responsibilities: * Support the rollout strategy for BIM. Ensure progress, processes and issues in the CAD/BIM environment are effectively reported and addressed * On an ongoing basis, promote and assist teams in adopting best practice in implementing BIM methodologies and practices * Co-ordination of CAD input to multi-disciplinary railway projects * Support the work associated with CAD/BIM/Document Management software upgrades and testing * Advice and mentorship of junior CAD staff within the team on projects * Engage with Project Teams to respond effectively to poor working and/or inconsistent methods that require improvement * Reinforce Quality Assurance processes to ensure that all client deliverables are fully compliant with standards * Assist project delivery staff to setup and maintain projects to ensure delivery to client and DISM standards Qualifications * Engineering or technically based training and professional qualification essential (minimum HNC in Civil Engineering or similar) * Evidence of ongoing CPD in recognised industry applications (i.e. Bentley, Autodesk) Experience (essential): * Must have experience operating as a dedicated CAD/ BIM Lead ; * Knowledge of infrastructure design processes working within a multiple discipline engineering environment, and within a project and commercially focused business; * Identify, interpret and apply required industry/ client/ internal CAD standards. * Project delivery using the core CAD applications of MicroStation and AutoCAD. * Project experience delivering and managing projects in 3D * Good working knowledge of BS1192 and PAS1192 * Experience of working within the Rail environment on a variety of projects * Experience in RC detailing, along with familiarity with CADs RC or similar detailing packages. * Experience of steel detailing - particularly for bridges * Good organisation and communication skills. * Flexibility to work at other sites and company offices as required Experience (Advantageous): * Experience of a number of the following technical applications: Bentley Rail Track, Bentley Architecture, Bentley Structural, Revit, Civil 3D, Adobe Creative Suite, Navisworks, Bentley Navigator, ProjectWise * Experience in delivering technical training * Programming experience (vb, vba, C) The Individual: * Able to demonstrate advanced CAD and BIM technical knowledge * Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the business * Good team player whilst remaining self motivated * Excellent problem solving abilities * Excellent time management and prioritisation * Creative thinker with a can do attitude Reed Specialist Recruitment Limited is an employment agency and employment business.

We are currently recruiting for a Mobile Multi Skilled Engineer with an Electrical bias. Hours: 40 hours per week Purpose: To ensure the technical systems across the Estate are fully maintained and the necessary service criteria is achieved, through PPM and Reactive tasks. Based in London this role will be responsible for a number of buildings nationwide. Planned preventative and reactive maintenance tasks on all equipment on sites. Operation/inspection of electrical/mechanical plant and equipment, in accordance with agreed safe working procedures and company quality standards.
