As a senior member of the team you will contribute to its growth, providing leadership in project delivery, the development of best-practice, client care, business development, profile-raising and mentoring of junior staff. You will be expected to identify, develop and pursue new business and marketing opportunities in a range of sectors working with other members of the team.
The post will be based in our London, Cambridge or Glasgow office and you may be expected to work overseas for a number of short to medium periods in each year.
Requirements
You will hold a good degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline and have extensive post qualification work practice gained either in the public or private sector, with some consultancy background.
You will also have considerable overseas knowledge ideally in Africa and some knowledge of social impact assessment would be advantageous. A high profile and good connections in the relevant sector and relevant research are highly desirable. You will also demonstrate a track record of winning and leading projects, ideally within a consultancy environment.
A sound knowledge and practical expertise of implementing the EIA process is required, including a good understanding of the statutory processes and the methods applied to EIAs across the various technical topics. Knowledge of EIA in the international context is needed, ideally with social impact assessment but this is not essential. Familiarity with other techniques for integration of environmental and social-economic considerations into policy and project development, implementation and monitoring are also required.
Work history in the transport, energy or mining sectors is desirable

KEY PROJECTS/CLIENTS:

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
TECHNICAL:
Offer and deliver noise and vibration solutions to meet the business and client expectations. Maintain and develop core technical expertise aswell as continue to increase technical breadth. Will act as a technical lead on a range of projects and proposals and communicate complex issues to colleagues and clients. Responsible for the technical work of junior consultants acting as a mentor within the noise team.
CLIENT CARE:

COMMERCIAL:

PROJECT MANAGEMENT:
Manage projects including costs, performance and spend against budget, quality, deadlines, delivery of reports, presentations and other deliverables. Review the progress of the projects on a regular basis. Take responsibility for delivery to client needs. Resolve technical and financial queries through consultation with project managers and technical managers where appropriate. Devise or select most appropriate method of project delivery.
TEAM WORKING:
