A multi-skilled Engineer is required for a static site at a large leading high street retailer.
To operate, maintain and manage efficiently with the minimum of supervision new and existing building services to specified standards as determined by the company. To manage PPM, Dayworks, Stat compliance and Call-outs as appropriate.

Purpose of Job
To ensure that all the Company's properties (leasehold or owned) are kept in good working order as per all relevant Health & Safety legislation and that you resolve any ongoing problems or incomplete tasks in a timely manner.
Reporting to: Regional Manager
Hours of work: 9am to 6 pm Monday to Friday
Your responsibilities will include the following:-
1. Ensure that comprehensive repairs or basic maintenance (as relevant) for all aspects of the Company's properties are carried out such as:-
Plumbing (leaks, tap washers, washing machine pipes, etc)
Carpeting / Flooring (fix or replace as relevant any worn out / dangerous flooring)
Drains (Unblocking in particular)
Guttering
Heating (ensure boilers / timers are working, radiators are bled, etc)
Dealing with all Electrical & Gas problems or appliances that do not need specialist knowledge
2. Ensure that all jobs, as instructed by the Property Maintenance Administrators, are completed in a timely manner and report back any incomplete jobs.
3. Assist, when necessary, the Health & Safety or Compliance Manager with all aspects of compliance (HMO, Fire and Safety at Work, etc)
4. Assist as necessary with any movements of furniture
5. Check on a daily basis that all fire extinguishers and all alarms are in good working order (where relevant)
6. Check that testing of all alarms (where applicable) have been done and logged on a weekly basis
7. To report any problems with Company vehicles promptly to the Property Administrators
8. Report all problems which require specialist knowledge to the Property Administrators
9. Ensure that all Company furniture is kept in good order and moved as and when required as per instructions from the Property Maintenance Administrators
10. Ensure that all Company tools are kept in good repair and report any damage promptly
11. Conduct weekly checks of oil, water and tyre pressures for your allocated vehicle.
12. Produce any reports as required by management
You will agree to comply with Company Policy and Procedures and work instructions including compliance of Health & Safety at work.
You will be required to be on call in the evenings up to 9pm and also at weekends and bank holidays from 8am to 9pm (if you are required, you will be given the equivalent time off in lieu).
You may also need to carry out such additional responsibilities from time to time as may be requested by management, and may be required to assist other departments depending on project priorities.
