Role:
The purpose of the SSL Upgrade Programme Testing, Commissioning, Operational Readiness & Handover Manager is to ensure that the SSL Upgrade Programme works for the Projects Delivery Organisation, are successfully tested, commissioned and brought into operational use with minimal disruption to passenger service.

Duties:
Establish and implement a testing, commissioning, operational readiness and handover strategy for the SSL Upgrade Programme.
Provide leadership to the Testing, Commissioning and Handover Team to ensure consistent and robust delivery of the associated specialist tasks within the projects.
In particular, as part of operational readiness requirements, work closely with LUL and Asset Performance and oversee all activities necessary to achieve the operation and maintenance training obligations required for delivering the SSL Upgrade Programme.
Facilitate the resolution of issues relating to testing, commissioning operational readiness and handover that cannot be addressed at project level, to ensure no impact on delivery of the SSL Upgrade Programme.
Monitor completion of the submissions and documentations that make up the projects Asset Condition and Handover Logs (ACHL), promote the registration in Ellipse of all asset information in a timely manner and ensure programme-level basis reporting.


Skills:
*Chartered Engineer or equivalent with proven expertise in a multi disciplined technical environment,
*Proven expertise of testing, commissioning, operational readiness and handover of assets in a safety critical environment,
*Previous expertise in the engineering, operations and maintenance areas of a railway environment,
*Knowledge of the LUL railway, its standards, processes and PPP contractual framework.
