This will be achieved through close supervision and guidance of all operational staff and sub-contractor personnel whilst on site.
The Operations Supervisor will be expected to have an in-depth knowledge of the operation of all M&E systems and equipment under their control, ensuring that all plant is operated efficiently and in a manner that ensures continued reliability and availability to meet the operational requirements of the client.
Due to the nature of this contract, the Operations Supervisor will be expected to liaise closely with relevant members of management and the clients operations team, presenting a professional and customer focused approach to all client personnel.
Key Responsibilities
• To be responsible for shift (and day work) staff, ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of all personnel whilst on site.
• To ensure the correct and efficient operation of all plant and systems.
• To ensure management are kept informed at all times of all changes to plant availability.
• To oversee all works undertaken by personnel and sub-contractors.
• To provide line management support to own shift staff.
• To have a full understanding of all engineering services for which you have contractual responsibility.
• Preparation of quotations for repairs / improvements.
Technical Responsibilities will include:
- To be HVAP AP 15 Qualified and have recent working knowledge.
- To have a thorough understanding of all H1 critical systems on site. This is to include the switching of critical electrical systems, UPS and generator supplies and chilled water systems.
- To liaise with Technical Directors, the client and engineering staff to ensure they are kept advised and updated of all major incidents which may have an impact on operations.
- To undertake Duty Manager duties, liaising with the clients management team as appropriate to keep informed of any technical issues on site outside normal office hours.
- To ensure all plantroom rounds / checks are completed correctly and any defects found are actioned.
- To undertake spot checks / audits of completed PPM tasks, ensuring works have been completed satisfactorily.
