·Write CNC machine programs.

Job Description
The New Product Introduction Manager (“NPIM”) will have responsibility for all aspects of the development, sourcing and introduction of new products. You will be leading a team of engineers so an engineering background in the Electronics field will be essential.
The NPIM will lead a team of skilled and experienced engineers to assist in this function, and will report to the Managing Director.
The primary focus of the NPIM is to deliver new products and product developments to market within agreed budgets, cost constraints and timescales.
To be successful the NPIM must:
·Work closely with the Managing Director, Sales Manager and customers to ensure that customer's requirements are understood and incorporated into new products.
·Lead the engineering team so that innovative and cost effective solutions are developed.
·Manage and schedule the resources so that projects are delivered with agreed timescales.
·Liaise with suppliers and sub-contractors, both in the UK and overseas to ensure that our products meet the necessary quality and cost requirements.
·Work closely with the Production Manager to ensure manufactured products can be assembled efficiently.
·Support the Sales and Production teams when issues arise with existing products.
·Ensure that our products are designed to meet required approval standards, and to manage the approval process.
·Minimise waste in all aspects of the product introduction activity. Ie materials, energy and time.
·Ensure that the company is aware of all regulatory requirements applicable to our products, and that these requirements are incorporated in to our product offering.
·Ensure that manuals and technical documents are created and maintained.
· Communicate the needs of the business to your staff and to report trends, opportunities, challenges and successes to senior managers and Directors.
·Ensure that adequate trained staff are available to meet the demands of the business. Also to ensure that the staff under the NPIM's control are productive and
disciplined at times
·Be aware of the Company's Health and Safety policy and ensure that all risk assessments and safe system of work are followed.
The post is situated in the South Hams area but with visits to customers and suppliers both in the UK and overseas as authorised by the Director.
A small company and the NPIM is also expected to undertake any other duties and tasks that may be reasonably required.
Requirements
Essential
·Strong project management skills using recognised tools.
