Due to sustained business acquisition, there is an immediate opportunity for a Senior Process/New Product Development Technologist to join an established team to manage technical transfer and new technologies/factory trials in a fast paced seafood environment. Role: NPD Process Technologist - frozen food and food service This broad technical management role involves process development initiatives, supporting the Technology transfer and concept creation through to launch. There are several business critical global projects to manage, bring new technologies, products and packaging into this business in North Yorkshire. Responsibilities of this role include: -To implement and manage the factory trial and NPD launch -To implement the Technology Transfer Process , to ensure robust manufacturing processes -To implement process development initiatives in the factory -To continuously review and manufacturing processes at this site -Manage new projects on time within budget - PROJECT MANAGEMENT SKILLS ARE Essential -Troubleshooting and interrogation of factory validation and factory manufacturing processes Targeted at established product development professionals, this role is aimed at individuals who are looking to join a fast paced growing business with full accountability across both retail and foodservice markets. Key responsibilities of the role; -Lead the new product development process from concept creation through to launch -Create project plans that deliver upon agreed project objectives and report progress as required -Develop a network of external research resources, including universities and suppliers -Maintain awareness of food industry developments and scientific literature. Produce business updates when required to cascade new developments -Present new product and process facts and ideas clearly, accurately and persuasively to customers internally and externally. -Monitor and benchmark product quality of new and existing products - The person; *Significant portfolio of successful new product developments or product regeneration.
