Our client is a world Class design and business consulting Company providing solutions to some of the world`s most challenging projects including- airports, bridges, energy, highways, major projects, rail, site development and regeneration, tunnels, and water- This is the Consulting company every Engineer wants on there CV.
Project Overview-
This a major rail engineering project, the redevelopment of buildings within the underground station will create new state-of-the-art offices and retail space which is also one of London's busiest transport interchanges. The remodelled underground station will provide improved access and facilities for rail and underground users. Due to the redevelopment, the station will become more accessible for the 27 million passengers each year. The new station will also support future passenger growth, offer new retail space and feature relocated ticketing facilities.
The role
The Interface Project Manager will monitor that Network Rail and London Underground of the building process- are providing all necessary approvals to ensure the project is delivered this includes design and method statements within the programme. Maintain regular contact with NR and LUL station teams, Monitor applications for and granting of all possessions needed from NWR and LUL, fire plans and other internal approvals required for each construction phase. Monitor all progress and risks related to NR and LUL Appraise client on a day to day basis of progress
Requirements-
PRINCE2 qualification (desirable NOT essential)
Proven track record demonstrating high-level project design, planning, implementation and delivery control skills- and the battle scars to prove it!
Previous experience Project Managing Multi million pound projects within London Underground environment,- Network Rail/Mainline experience an added bonus-
Commercial Acumen and strong experience in defining the project scope, Managing budgets, Managing Teams, contractor management, authoring Method Statements and risk assessment
Ability to manage clients expectations and control subcontractors to ensure project is delivered on time within budget.
Rate
Negotiable depending on experience- project will run for 2 years
